Collaborating with our partners the Interstate Postgraduate Medical Association, Healthcare Performance Consulting, the California Academy of Family Physicians, and Physicians’ Institute for Excellence in Medicine, we set the stage for an interactive information exchange between leading faculty and primary care physicians and other healthcare professionals who diagnose and manage long-term therapy for patients at risk for venous thromboembolism (VTE). Supported by an educational grant from BMS and Pfizer, the hour-long interactive presentation and ensuing discussion was led by Cheri Olson, MD, Mark Dressner, MD, FAAFP, and Scott Kaatz, DO, MSc, FACP, SFHM. The town hall was produced in our new state-of-the-art studio and was recorded for use on Medscape.

12 Aug A VTE Town Hall: answering Your Top Questions on Treatment and Secondary Prevention

 Venous Thromboembolism / Enduring Material

Collaborating with our partners—the Interstate Postgraduate Medical Association, Healthcare Performance Consulting, the California Academy of Family Physicians, and the Physicians’ Institute for Excellence in Medicine—we set the stage for an interactive information exchange between leading faculty to help educate primary care physicians and other healthcare professionals who diagnose and manage long-term therapy for patients at risk for venous thromboembolism (VTE). Supported by an independent medical education grant from the Bristol-Myers Squibb/Pfizer Pharmaceuticals Partnership, the hour-long interactive discussion was led by Cheri Olson, MD; Mark Dressner, MD, FAAFP; and Scott Kaatz, DO, MSc, FACP, SFHM. The town hall was produced in our new state-of-the-art studio and was developed to be distributed on Medscape.
